Am i weird for not enjoying going out to nightclubs?

Posted on March 5th, 2010 by admin in nightclubs | 1 Comment »

I’m a 22 year old guy and nightclubs just don’t do it for me. My friends like going to nightclubs, i don’t. I’ve just stopped going out now because it doesn’t do anything for me. **** music, obnoxious drunk dickheads and not being able to hear anything anyone says= no fun in my opinion.

i used to love going to clubs but it is all a bit to much for me now, i think its just one of those things you grow out of, some sooner than others

Are nightclubs a good place to want to meet people?

Posted on March 1st, 2010 by admin in nightclubs | 6 Comments »

I live in Vegas and I’m trying to meet girls and i was curious if going to nightclubs are a good way to meet girls.

You bet, nightclubs are great places to meet women. However, if what you seek is a serious relationship or dating material, you’re way off. Nightclubs are thriving with women who have their "shields" up 110%. They’re not there to get serious; on the contrary, like other men, they’re there to play…. even if it means playing with your feelings.

Try bookstores, shops or coffee places if you’re looking for the good girls.

Are there any nightclubs in LA where I can meet mature women?

Posted on February 23rd, 2010 by admin in nightclubs | 5 Comments »

Mature women as in their 30’s. I really don’t trust women my age (under 30). Are there any nightclubs in Los Angeles where I can meet a woman who’s in her 30s?

Au contraire. You can find PLENTY here in LA. Such a woman is called a "cougar", and a lot of clubs here are thick with them. However, they are sometimes hard to spot, because they usually take very good care of themselves, so they look younger.

Try Chapter 8 nightclub in the valley, but you should have luck at just about any club.

Do the nightclubs in Ibiza have a dress code?

Posted on February 21st, 2010 by admin in nightclubs | 1 Comment »

I am planning a trip there in a couple weeks. I will be there for the rest of the summer, so it is very important to know this. When I was in Las Vegas, many nightclubs rejected me because of what I was wearing. I hope that the ones in Ibiza are a little more relaxed, but please let me know. I will be going to Space, Privilege, Pacha, Eden…all the big ones.

Well sneakers American style are definitely out!

Just dress ’smart casual’, and don’t arrive at the clubs with a crowd of people. Most of the time the bouncers on the door make their own minds up as to who they will let in…best not to argue with them.
If you look like a ‘big spender’, you almost certainly will get in.
Smile, be polite, and don’t arrive drunk.

What are some good restaurants/bars/nightclubs to work at in Chicago?

Posted on February 17th, 2010 by admin in nightclubs | 2 Comments »

I’m 19, which is old enough to serve alcohol in Chicago. This summer, a friend and I will be moving there. I have bar experience (currently work at a sports bar) and am certified to serve alcohol. What are some good restaurants, bars, and/or nightclubs where I could be a waitress, cocktail waitress, or shot girl? I want a nice, busy place where I’ll make good money.

UPDATED:
I don’t know if your young age would still be a factor, but you could start looking at popular chain restaurants and/or places that attract tourists. They are more likely to have plenty of customers. For example, T.G.I.F. (http://www.tgifridays.com/ ), Rock Bottom Brewery (http://www.rockbottom.com/ ), Uncle Julio’s Hacienda (http://www.unclejulios.com/locations.html ), Lalo’s (http://www.lalos.com/indexhome.html ), Applebee’s (http://www.applebees.com ), Cheesecake Factory (http://www.thecheesecakefactory.com/bar/bar ), Grand Lux Cafe (http://www.grandluxcafe.com ), Hard Rock Cafe (http://www.hardrock.com ), Landry’s Restaurants (http://www.landrysrestaurants.com/pages/restaurants/pg_restaurants.htm ), Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants (http://www.leye.com/ ), Bennigans (http://www.bennigans.com – has had some health violation issues in the past) and Cubby Bear (http://www.cubbybear.com/daily-specials/ ). Even some movie theaters – like the new Kerasotes ShowPlace ICON (http://www.kerasotes.com/Showtimes.aspx?OptionTheater=Go&TheaterSearch=8146 ) – have trendy bars now.

See a list here of "hardcore" sports bars – http://www.centerstagechicago.com/bars/styles/hardcoresports.html . See a list here of bars that are more social – http://www.centerstagechicago.com/bars/styles/socialsports.html . You could try working at sporting places like 10-pin Bowling Lounge (http://www.10pinchicago.com ), Lucky Strike Lanes (http://www.bowlluckystrike.com/ ), and Dave & Busters (http://www.daveandbusters.com/ ).

The Tilted Kilt seems to be expanding in the area (http://www.tiltedkilt.com ), although you’d probably have to wear a very skimpy outfit. There are stretches of bars in Andersonville, Lakeview, Bucktown/Wicker Park, Lincoln Park, Beverly (Western Ave.), scattered around Magnificent Mile & the Loop, and near North Ave. & Clybourn.

You should search for actual "waitress" and "bartender" job listings via sites like Craigslist (http://chicago.craigslist.org ), Indeed (http://www.indeed.com/ ), Oodle (http://jobs.oodle.com ), SimplyHired (http://www.simplyhired.com/ ), Monster (http://monster.com ), and Careerbuilder through the Chicago Tribune newspaper site (http://www.chicagotribune.com/classified/jobs/ ). You should research places thoroughly before applying – somewhere like Coyote Ugly Saloon (http://www.coyoteuglysaloon.com/ ) might not work for you.
