What are the reasons for posting clubbing pictures on Facebook/Myspace?

I see a lot of friends and family posting their clubbing pictures on Facebook and Myspace and was wondering why is that. What is so cool about posting a picture of yourself wasted, holding a bear bottle, or a cigarette? and Why would you want others to know what you do for fun?
