How hard is it to get a stripping job at a gay club?

I’m a very unconventional person: I don’t want to go to college, and I need a job that will really help me out with money and I will enjoy, so stripping seems to be the answer. How hard is it to get a stripping job? I’m a gay, 17-year-old guy, btw. Are there auditions and/or a lot of people competing for the job? Or do they just hire as many people as they want? I’m just a bit lost!

Well first you have to understand that you’re still a minor. You won’t be able to get a job in a strip club unless you provide fake documentation or wait until you’re the correct age (usually 18). That aside….

It’s not hard to get a job stripping. You may think that you need to fall into a certain set of looks to qualify but you don’t. Depending on the area of the club and the demand that the club’s patrons have… they may be looking for something in particular or just collecting a variety of talents and looks. In general, try to be in decent shape, take care of basic grooming and hygiene and just have a good attitude. Remember, you’re there to sell the illusion that you’re available and interested in your custys… do everything in your power to make yourself desirable!

Check out the clubs in the area you want to dance. (If you want to remain anonymous I suggest about a hour away) Visit them and make sure they’re clean, drug free and that there is plenty of staff to protect the dancers. Once you’ve found a place you’re interested in working at, give them a call and ask if they do on the spot hiring or they require a amateur night. Some want you to walk in the first few hours they’re open, do a impromptu dance set and they make a decision based on that. Others want you to sign up for amateur nights, but you don’t necessarily have to win to be offered a job. If you’re going to try a set or do a contest, make sure that you are prepared. Take a few changes of clothes, hygiene needs, several forms of identification, aspirin, water bottle, nail clippers and razor. (the packing list is much simpler for men rather then women… unless you’re doing drag of course…lmao)

GOOD LUCK!
