Cyma are one of the oldest but least recognized premium watch manufacturers in the world. In their historical past Cyma have produced more than 30,000,000 watches and trace their rich history dating right back to 1862 when the Schwab brothers first began the business. Cyma is French for "Summit". At the beginning of 1892 a new partner joined Cyma (Frederick Sandoz) before going on to assisting the Schwabs crate a factory in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Nineteen years after which Cyma started manufacturing famous super slim wrist watch, which was one of their earliest chronometers. By 1910 Cyma Watch reached a rate of manufacturing 2000 watches per day, and within 5 years were also making producing waterproof watches. By the mid twenties Cyma had become one of the biggest watch producer in Switzerland, and began producing automated watches within the mid 1940s. Cyma then declined considerably compared to its different Swiss rivals, however remains a premium Swiss manufacturer with a well known identity.
