How do i get my music played in night clubs?

I’m a music producer, currently building up a catalogue of different music. I would like to know how i could possibly get one or more of my tracks played in a local night club.
Is it as simple as giving the DJ a disc when i’m in there or do i need to meet with the managers etc?

You could contact managers to see if they’d be interested in playing your tracks. But the managers might be too busy to meet you so might be better to contact some DJs first. I doubt they’d simply take your disc and play it, but you could try it or just ask them to take it with them to see if there’s a chance they’ll play it in the future. If you’re not having much luck meeting/speaking to the relevant people then you could upload your music somewhere, e.g. Myspace, then email clubs/DJs. It also may help to get in touch with music producers who do get their music played and get some tips and to generally promote your music. So social networking sites should be of good use to you.
