This is the second part of the Station Nightclub Fire. In this, Great White just appears on the stage. Mayhem ensues soon after their pyrotechnics blew off. Many lives were lost that night.

You should ask her …
You should ask her to give you an account of things that night. Her story would be useful I’m sure. Did she give a witness statement to the West Warwick police?

to truly be safe …
to truly be safe the clubs need to follow the rules/laws!!! they can not go past a certain number of people standing or seated at a table. they can not keep the doors locked or chained shut to keep people from entering or leaving. AND the employees should have REGULAR training and practice on fire safety. clubs should have fire sprinklers. THIS ONE DID NOT!!!

By the time the …
By the time the fire department responded, there was nothing to do but try to get people away, and knock down some of the flames. I bet many were just waiting to count bodies and not survivors.

Basically I think …
Basically I think nightclubs are safe as long as there aren’t any pyrotechnics. They are pretty much pointless and not worth the risk at all. If you do ever go to a place where they use em, I would just get out of there. I haven’t been to any shows that have used pyrotechnics since this happened.

I just watched this, as I had a training day and we were shown this clip to show how quickly fire and panic spread. We saw it without sound, and I decided to see what I could find on here. Dear god, that is horrific…

What’s amazing is …
What’s amazing is how quickly Butler moved to the front of the club as soon as he seen the fire ignite. He was the only person towards the front of the stage, who moved backwards, than quickly to the front of the nightclub. But he kept filming, securing his survival by being the first one out. I didn’t see anyone else move that quickly once the first started. The first ones to respond after that were 20 seconds later and than the band stopped playing, than the alarm went off.

My sister walked …
My sister walked out through the front entrance before it was blocked. This upload has slightly different audio than most versions. On the other uploads, a woman is heard pleading, “I can’t move!” at 0:47 as the cameraman moves toward the door. I think that is my sister’s voice, due to her description of the events around her. I’ve never asked her…

Actually, the front …
Actually, the front door was a long, narrow hallway filled with scores of victims.

Yeah, the doorway …
Yeah, the doorway was actually a long, narrow hallway. I’ve looked at diagrams of it. There was an awkward turn it it around some kind of barrier where an employee would check tickets of patrons coming in. So behind the victims that could be seen in the door, there were many more rows of people stuck in the crush.
