How old do you have to be to get in to nightclubs in spain?

Going on holidays soon to majorca just wondering how old you have to be to get into nightclubs i hear its 16 in some and 18 in others not sure though so can anyone give me a defanite answer :) x

Night clubs usually have a minimum age of 18, some 21 and others 23+.
In some tourist resorts these ‘rules’ are frequently broken and 16 and 17 year olds do get in.

There is a difference in the laws in many European countries (including those who are not members of the EU) for drinking alcohol and purchasing alcohol and for drinking alcohol in a licensed premises.
Also in Austria, the law varies according to which region you are in and the alcohol % content!

It’s a common misconception.
In France, The Netherlands and Germany you can drink at 16.
In The Netherlands you can purchase > 15% at 16 years (beer wine etc.). In Portugal and Denmark there is no age limit to drink, only to purchase and drink in a licensed premises. Different countries…different rules

To drink is 18. I understand some nightclubs allow a "youngsters hour" sort of activity for a few hours early on. That would vary.

The legal age to drink in the EU is 18. Asking anyone to break the law to serve you under 18 is jeopardizing THEIR jobs and lives. Since jobs are so scarce, and so many people are out of work, it’s kind of selfish to do that, don’t you think?
