Did I forget to tell you that shaken or moving the shoulders is not only for women? I think that this is something the ball room dancing is missing at least at the video I just saw. We men can shake our shoulders in a very nice and rithmic way, it is great guys and makes us look like good dancers. Try it.

I see that the new ball room dancing salsa style is beautiful, but as latino myself I thing that the old style, which the traditional one is way to much better than this one. How much room do you need to do all of this when you have a crowded room? I repeat, this style is beautiful I really like it but it is not the best and it breaks our traditional salsa style.

casino rueda is …
casino rueda is danced in choreo but breaking off and dancing with you partner its all the same… i dance all three and i think casino gives you a closer connection to the music as well as your partner because of the fluid motion… just my opinion… in the end i fuse them all anyways lol

If you really think about, Casino relates closer to “choreography” based on this definition: Something, such as a series of planned situations, likened to dance arrangements. When you dance Casino in a circle the couples have to rely on the caller which will name a move and then the couples perform the planned dance pattern. It doesn’t leave much room for interpretation which is why I didn’t like doing it as much. You can dance in a couple but wheres the fun in that, should be in a big group!
